Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable and general ledger activities.
- Prepare and review financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
- Oversee budgeting processes and provide insights on financial performance to support strategic decision-making.
- Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Mentor and develop junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Utilize Xero and other financial software for efficient accounting practices.
- Ensure adherence to securities law and other regulatory requirements in all financial reporting activities.
- Collaborate with private equity stakeholders to provide necessary financial information and support investment decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proven experience in an accounting management role with a strong understanding of financial reporting and analysis.
- Proficiency in Xero or similar financial software is highly desirable.
- Experience with budgeting processes and bank reconciliation is essential.
- Strong skills in financial report writing and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
- Familiarity with securities law is a plus but not required.
