School based Counselor

Impact of the Role: As a School-Based Counselor at FPCS, you will play a crucial role in the lives of students by providing essential mental and behavioral health services. By working directly within schools, you ensure that students receive the support they need to thrive academically and emotionally, collaborating closely with teachers, guidance counselors, and principals to promote a nurturing environment.
Day-to-Day Tasks:
- Provide psychotherapy services to students in need.
- Collaborate with clients and families to develop and regularly review treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of progress and goals in compliance with state, federal, and accrediting body guidelines.
- Work closely with school staff to integrate counseling support into the school environment effectively.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in human services or a related field. This is a medicaid requirement and cannot be waived.
- Minimum of two years of experience in the social services field.
- Experience working with children and adolescents preferred.
- Ability to work Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm
Licensure by LLR a plus and will increase pay.

Previous experience in managing treatment plans and documenting progress is essential, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
