Wages & Benefits

$28.00 - $29.00 per hour; paid vacation time, sick time, plus nine paid holidays and three floating holidays; competitive health, dental, and vision insurance; Health Savings Account (HSA), and options for Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). There is employer paid basic life insurance with the option for additional coverage paid by the employee. The employer pays for Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) and short- and long-term disability insurance. FWS sponsors a retirement plan with 3% employer match and immediate vesting.

A Typical Day in the Life…

A typical day as FamilyWise’s Evaluation Coordinator provides an opportunity to be responsible for leading the organization’s program evaluation efforts. The position works in partnership with program managers and in tandem with the Database Coordinator to track meaningful indicators of program impact, design and implement program evaluation tools, analyze quantitative and qualitative data, and prepare summaries of results to support learning and continuous program improvement. Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Continuously designing and improving data collection tools, strategies, and management systems with the Database Coordinator and leadership team.
  • Managing ongoing evaluation tools, including a participant experience survey, family well-being assessment, protective factors survey, and follow-ups with past participants to measure program impact and improvement.
  • Creating meaningful key performance indicators with input from department and program leaders.
  • Preparing reports on participant data for grants, contracts, program managers, and all staff.
  • Sharing survey summaries with staff and training participants to ensure quality.
  • Researching and writing about family well-being indicators for the annual Family Wellbeing Index report.
  • Including community feedback (qualitative “harvest” data) in presentations and trainings.
  • Continuously managing evaluation tools, mainly surveys.
  • Offering technical support to communities in the 100 Cups of Coffee initiative.
  • Promoting an evaluation culture by regularly sharing results and resources with staff.
  • Assisting with data management as a backup administrator for ClientTrack and Apricot databases.
  • Managing participation incentives, especially for surveys.
  • Tracking, validating, and following up on CEU requests.
  • Supporting data and technology needs for large training events like the annual Growing Resilient Communities Gathering.
  • Providing ongoing IT support and troubleshooting for staff as needed.

Who You Are

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or you bring equivalent knowledge through alternative study paths and life experience.
  • You have at least two years of experience in evaluation design, data collection, and analysis, along with the ability to report statistics clearly and meaningfully.
  • You’re comfortable working with databases (experience preferred).
  • You have experience with data visualization (preferred).
  • You understand the nonprofit sector, especially human services; experience in a nonprofit setting is a plus.
  • You’re skilled in critical thinking and pay close attention to detail, with a knack for organizing ideas, materials, and workflows.
  • You’re a strong communicator, especially in technical writing, and you build positive relationships with others.
  • You can present complex ideas in a way that’s accessible and engaging.
  • You thrive in diverse environments and achieve results both independently and in collaboration with others.
  • You work well with coworkers, supervisors, and clients, approaching challenges with a cooperative, solution-focused attitude.
  • You’re proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Sheets and are quick to learn new technologies.
  • You’re willing and able to travel to locations within a 15-mile radius of the office.
  • Preferably, you hold a valid MN Driver’s License, have access to reliable transportation, and can meet FamilyWise’s driving record requirements. Please note that if the license was not issued in the state of Minnesota, you have 60 days after becoming a Minnesota resident in which to apply for your Minnesota driver's license or permit.
