Industrial Engineer
Basic Scope/Purpose: (The job’s primary purpose or contribution to the department or organization.)
The Industrial Engineer (I.E.) will provide leadership in the improvement of industrial processes by applying Lean Manufacturing Methods. The I.E. will apply benchmarking techniques to document and increase best practices throughout Fenner, Inc.

· Project Management
o Lead site-level improvement projects for cost reduction, increased revenue and profit growth within assigned area
o Complete Time Studies and Critical Observations to Identify Opportunities
o Use statistical analysis tools to test and validate project solutions
o Develop Cost-Benefit Analyses for Project ideas and present to Upper Management
· Lean Process Implementation
o Work to develop optimized flow and facility efficiency using Lean principles
o Implement and Maintain 6S Processes and Controls within assigned area
o Use Process & Value Stream mapping tools to highlight waste
o Support Kaizen, SMED, and Bib Tool Events across Fenner
· Process Standardization & Control
o Support and Maintain the development of Production targets and goals
o Develop and drive data collection processes to prioritize improvements
o Create Standard Work Instructions
· Business/Operations Analysis & Progress Plan
o Work closely with Production/Operations Managers to identify improvement opportunities.
o Complete analysis on monthly financials to track and control improvements
o Support development and execution of progress plan for assigned sites
o Support Operations in achieving critical business objectives and monthly KPI’s
· Training/Skills
o Pursue Study of Six Sigma Green Belt
o Complete Michelin Industrial Progress Basics Training
o Build connections and relationships with Michelin Groupe Industrial Progress network
· Daily Progress Initiatives
o Support and monitor site-level production reporting
o Complete Root Cause Analysis for out-of-control processes
· Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Relative Experience: (The level of education and/or experience needed to successfully accomplish the essential duties of this job.)
· Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or four years of manufacturing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to:
· Have good organizational skills, problem solve, strong interpersonal and team working skills in a cross-functional environment, effective communication and presentation skills, ability to work in multiple computer systems and programs, and may require some travel.
