Because we are a leader in the direct mail space, investing in technology and resources to facilitate innovative ideas and we’re looking to add a Facility Maintenance Supervisor to our team.
We are seeking a skilled Facility Maintenance Supervisor with a strong background in electrical work. They will oversee the business’s essential assets, including but not limited to, HVAC units, plumbing system, minor machinery repairs, painting, electrical, lighting systems. Meet with contractors to discuss projects, submit quotes to management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Maintenance supervisor will perform the following tasks:
- Regularly inspect the facility to identify work that needs to be completed
- Coordinate all installation, maintenance and repair work
- Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work
- Participate in the hiring process, pprove timecards, schedule overtime, & evaluate staff annually
- Able to conduct basic preventative maintenance tasks
- Replacing light bulbs, painting walls, floors, ceilings., changing HVAC filters
- Perform electrical maintenance, repairs, including circuit breakers, wiring and control panels
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations
- Basic carpentry
- Install or repair minor equipment as needed
- Collaborate with other workers including managers and professionals
- Maintain janitorial inventory and work with purchasing to replenish as needed
- Local Travel is required 50% of the time
- Other job duties may be assigned by manager
Qualifications:
- Previous supervisory experience preferred but not required
- Excellent planning & leadership abilities
- Organized, detailed oriented, able to problem solve and overcome obstacles
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Knowledge of electrical codes and safety protocols, ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance and repairs
- Must be able to work in confined areas and in high areas (rooftop, scissor lift)
- The ability to work independently, able to work well with co-workers and is self-motivated
- Basic PC skills including Microsoft products
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Complies with all OSHA general safety rules
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
