Insurance Customer Service Representative

Full time or Part time is available.
8:30AM to 5:00PM Hours of Operation
Responsibilities:
- Investigate claim denials and refile for payment.
- Submit claim appeals.
- Utilize multiple websites and hospital EMRs to find valid insurance information.
- Verify insurance information and apply it to patient reports.
- Take inbound phone calls, take payments, assist patients with their questions.
- Make outbound calls to patients and insurance payers.
- Educate patients and health insurance representatives on payment responsibilities in instances where providers are not contracted.
- Document work performed and any patient interactions in billing software.
- Post payments in billing software.
- Adhere to company policies, FDCPA, HIPAA and any other state and federal laws that govern the industry.
- Perform tasks as assigned by FirstStates’ management.

Minimum Qualifications (Mandatory):
- Must have relevant prior experience.
- High school graduation/GED.
- Good computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft programs

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
