What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Supervisor position at Flagler College?
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Exercises direct, day-to-day supervision over the Maintenance Lead, Painting Lead, Technical Trades, and other assigned staff.
- In absence of Assistant Director of Facilities, monitors operations as assigned.
- Performs payroll duties and manages Maintenance budget.
- Performs high-level administrative duties related to budget adherence, documentation, department accounts, personnel records, in-service training, time sheets, and leave forms.
- Reviews expenditures against budget allocation and maintenance of accounting records for the department; coordinates and processes purchase orders, billings, expenditures and payments where applicable.
- Manages appropriate P-Card expense reports.
- Participates in the approval of new hires and is responsible for their training, task assignments and scheduling.
- Enforces College personnel policies within department.
- Oversees frequent campus inspections for the timely detection of maintenance deficiencies and needed repairs to facilities.
- Works extensively with contractors to execute projects and enforce Flagler design / construction guidelines.
- Develops, schedules and controls a preventative maintenance program for mechanical (including HVAC control infrastructure), plumbing, electrical, and infrastructure systems as required.
- Initiates and coordinates with the Facilities Leadership all requests for necessary outside contract maintenance.
- Promotes safety awareness and ensures that employees are following safe working procedures and use required safety equipment.
