What are the responsibilities and job description for the MACHINE MECHANICS-2ND SHIFT position at Flexstaff?
Manufacturing company on the East side of Cincinnati, OH are looking for 2nd Shift Machine Mechanics.
Under the direction and supervision of the team lead/master mechanic, runs assigned machines to produce daily production quotas. Runs more machines, more consistently. Troubleshoots and makes minor repairs with limited supervision to minimize machine downtime.
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain proper settings for machines.
Troubleshoot machines to identify the cause of defects in the product.
Make minor adjustments or repairs to auto-pack units.
Perform established duties to machines in the assigned area to maintain production, scrap rates, and product quality.
Clean machines with shop rags & scrapers.
Maintain good housekeeping in assigned areas.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma/ GED is preferred but not required.
Has six months or more of Mechanic experience
Must be willing to work well with others.
Preferably has 1 years of a mechanical background.
Preferably has a working knowledge of micrometers and calipers. Can accurately and efficiently record daily production numbers.
Requirements:
100% of the time, must be able to work with various machines, hand tools, and equipment.
Must furnish own set of standard hand tools.
Must be able to read and write proficiently.
Must be able to obtain a material handling vehicle license.
Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time.
