- Responsibility of daily programming data, troubleshooting, monitoring of maintenance of and repairing of automated building systems computer network used to operate and control the heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems of university facilities in order to provide a comfortable environment in classrooms, laboratories and offices, for the Florida Institute of Technology, a growing top-ranked university with over 2,000,000 square feet of facilities.
- Verify and establish quality of network connectivity for all HVAC systems on campus. Examine both hardware and software for proper operation. Contact and work with IT to resolve issues
- Receive work orders and service requests and process them accordingly to priority. Complete material and man hours associated with completion of work.
- Update and maintain software and hardware necessary to accomplish any tasks assigned. (Server, laptop, desktop computer and all peripherals.) Create daily backups for the HVAC software database and related critical files. Verify the integrity of all the backups and files. Correct any problems with backups or files.
- Build, create, change and maintain graphics, logic and all aspects of the software as necessary. Build, create, change and maintain digital and physical documents used by our team to assist in daily tasks.
- Investigate HVAC alarms and alerts which occur and determine necessary actions to remedy problems.
- Receive requests and use scheduling software to schedule HVAC systems to operate for all campus events/classes/meetings.
- Maintain and record list of stock parts needed to repair common problems in the field. Secure supply of stock parts accordingly.
- Analyzing log and trend data in order to pro-actively determine system problems and anomalies.
- Emergency Preparedness and support as directed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 30 hour OSHA certification for General Industry Safety and Health, preferred
- Brevard County HVAC Journeyman's License, preferred
- EPA Certification, preferred
- State of Florida driver's license and ability to maintain a good driving record defined by Florida Tech's insurance company
- BAS control system software knowledge: Network 8K, Niagara, LON Works, preferred
- Excellent customer service

Official Transcripts
