Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Property Controller to join our financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in finance/accounting, financial management, and hospitality operations. As the Property Controller, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of a portfolio of hotels.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all aspects of property accounting, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger accounting, and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports to provide insights into the company’s performance and support strategic decision-making.
- Participate in monthly forecasting.
- Partner with properties to be an integral part of the overall performance management.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Collaborate with other departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the property team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proven experience in accounting with a strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles.
- Proficiency in financial report writing and analysis, with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of debits and credits, as well as general ledger accounting processes.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating leadership capabilities.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
