The Fleet & People Manager is a pivotal member of our team, responsible for overseeing delivery staff and ensuring that our delivery operations are functioning at their best. We are seeking an energetic team leader and problem solver, who can jump in wherever necessary to support a variety of functions from assisting onsite to problem-solving complex logistics and staffing situations. The Fleet & People Manager should demonstrate support for the company's vision through thoughtful planning and execution of duties. MANAGING: 30 Drivers & Crew Members
TYPE: Full-Time
SCHEDULE: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
OFF: Monday-Tuesday

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Behind the Scenes: A Day in the Life of a Fleet & People Manager
- Dispatching drivers, vehicles, and inventory to scheduled locations
- Booking and confirming 3rd party labor services and lodging as needed
- Reconciling fuel and expense receipts and checking in/out fuel cards
- Monitoring timecards, overtime, and scheduling
- Driving non-CDL box trucks to assist with rental truck pickups and returns, periodic inspections, and fueling.
How the Fleet & People Manager Keeps Our Fleet Running Smoothly
- Preparing and receiving delivery tickets and kits for all crews
- Relaying information to and from drivers, customers, and the delivery/warehouse team
- Responding to unforeseeable issues and developing a plan of action
The Role of the Fleet & People Manager in Ensuring Timely and Accurate Deliveries
- Answering calls from drivers and providing solutions and support
- Consistent follow-through from beginning to end.
- Maintain a proactive approach to scheduling: Understand the driver routes, venues, and weather conditions.
Expert Knowledge: The Importance of Driver Safety and knowledge in DOT and California Transportation Regulations
- Review 7-day prior logs and proactively recognize HOS violations
- Review post-trip drivers' logs and document hours of service violations
- Review safety topics with drivers during dispatches
- Assist in new employee training and continued training to team members to ensure quality and compliance.

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
- Conflict management skills: You'll need to confidently balance the needs of the customer from a variety of pre and post-order issues such as delivery questions, returns, damages, and order changes.
- Be tech-savvy and multitask: You’ll need to juggle navigating multiple browsers, tabs, tools, and screens to quickly and effectively answer questions regarding our inventory.
- Organization Skills: You will be working in a fast-paced environment with “doers” in a company that is rapidly moving forward. You'll need to manage your time effectively, prioritize tasks, set goals, and develop systems for yourself to achieve those goals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Two years prior experience with similar manager responsibilities.
- Experience managing a medium to large team: 20-30 employees
- DOT and/or California transportation regulation experience as a driver and/or supervisor.
- Ability to read and speak English with high working proficiency or fluency.
Salary : $72,000 - $80,000
