Title: Electrical Commissioning Lead
Location: Utah
Rate: 70-75/hour OT
Duration: 6 months
Schedule: 72 hours per week

OVERVIEW
The Electrical Lead will report directly to the Commissioning Manager and will champion safety while providing strong leadership. They will oversee and manage the daily activities of SU Electrical personnel, ensuring seamless coordination. The role involves taking full responsibility for the integrity of all electrical components and systems, ensuring contractual obligations are met with the highest standards of safety and quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adhere to all safety procedures and SU guidelines.
- Oversee all Electrical commissioning activities, reporting directly to the Site Commissioning Manager.
- Supervise plant electrical technicians during the commissioning phase.
- Provide guidance and oversight to TFA support personnel.
- Create a Functional Testing log and perform all necessary tests before system activation.
- Track and log jumper requests, forced points, and logic change requests.
- Optimize plant controls in preparation for performance testing.
- Collaborate with electrical installation representatives to ensure installations comply with manufacturer recommendations.
- Support the Mechanical Lead with system check-out and commissioning tasks.
- Maintain updated red-line/as-built drawings and documentation, ensuring all modifications are properly recorded in the field and in official records.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues.
- Keep the verification database up to date.
- Escalate issues to the Site Commissioning Manager promptly.
- Develop and implement action plans to address identified issues.
- Generate reports on adverse conditions and lessons learned when necessary.
- Work with operations staff to verify alarm priorities and manage alarm execution.
- Follow the guidelines outlined in the Startup Administration Manual.
- Attend meetings as assigned by the Commissioning Manager.
- Ensure electrical personnel participate in and support all required walk-downs.
- Submit daily activity reports to the Commissioning Manager summarizing progress.
REQUIREMENTS
- 10 years of experience in Industrial construction.
- Extensive Electrical experience as a commissioning lead.
- Experience with power plant startup and commissioning specialist.
- Experience with construction practices and principles.
