What are the responsibilities and job description for the Department Manager position at FootBridge?
We are seeking a leader to manage our client's architecture, engineering and construction operations in the Atlanta area. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, industry relationships, and experience in building diagnostics, remedial design, and/or construction. You will mentor a diverse team and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Our client consults with private and public clients in areas such as Building Enclosure, Facility Asset Management, Due-Diligence, Accessibility, Structural, Mechanical/Energy, and Construction Risk.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee projects to ensure timely completion and profitability.
- Manage proposals, cost estimates, and resource allocation.
- Supervise department operations, including training, safety, and quality.
- Drive business development and client relationships.
- Lead recruitment, training, and development of staff.
- Monitor department metrics (revenue, project profitability, staff utilization).
- Promote safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
- 8 years of relevant experience (12 without a degree).
- Supervisory experience required.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Certifications:
- Architecture/engineering registration.
- Industry certifications (e.g., LEED, RRO/RRC) are a plus.
