Summary:
The Social Services Supervisor leads the Social Services team to ensure impactful delivery of client services, efficient program management, and strong community partnerships. This role involves overseeing case management programs, supervising staff performance, and developing initiatives that address the community's needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee case management program to assess program needs, best practices, and ensure funding compliance.
- Evaluate community needs and implement responsive, data-drive programs. .
- Manage all existing and new social services programs; maintain accurate records and collaborate in preparation of reports, as required by funders, in an accurate and timely manner.
- Execute Memorandum of Understanding with community partners and stakeholders.
- Identify and assess potential needed services for program implementation.
- Create protocols, rules, and client intake/screening in compliance with program requirements and budget parameters.
- Establish community partnerships that leverage resources or that lead to funding opportunities.
- Conduct assessments internally and externally to improve client services programs and objectives.
- Support the Director of Programs and direct staff in establishing, updating, and overseeing departmental policies and procedures, annual budgets, program objectives, and other tasks as required.
- Meet regularly with staff for direct reports; supports professional development and program tasks.
- Organize and coordinate team meetings, both ongoing and ad-hoc groups relating to projects.
- Ensure that social services staff adheres to the organization's policies and procedures; conduct employee-performance reviews in accordance to agency guidelines.
- Provide case managers direction, resources, and referrals to support work tasks.
- Communicate emerging issues in a timely manner to the Director of Programs.
- Coordinate with Health Services Department to ensure whole-person care.
- Aids in the recruitment, hiring, training of staff, evaluation of employee performance, and recommendation of promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions.
- Demonstrates an understanding of basic HR guidelines and practices, including employee relations, performance management, and compliance with organizational policies and employment laws.
- Assist Director of Programs in establishing relationships with other agencies, school, monitors, and service providers.
- Participate and attend community events and external meetings to represent the organization.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with health and social service providers and ensure that staff have accurate and up-to-date information about access and referral to these services.
- Reviews program effectiveness and implements needed improvements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory:
- This position oversees members of the Social Services team including but not limited to case managers, support staff, volunteers, interns, and trainees.

An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
- LBSW, LMSC, LCSW, or other accredited social work licenses are required.
- 3-5 years of experience in social services, case management, or related field, supervisory skills necessary.
- Experience with support of multiple and diverse programs and/or operations.
- Experience using a client information database for grant compliance and management reporting.
- Experience working in a high-paced, demanding environment.
- Familiarity with quality assurance practices and reporting to public and private funders.
- Understanding and involvement with community programs, public services programs or behavioral health agencies.
- Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screen prior to hire.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, web-based applications, and data management systems; and willing to learn other software systems needed for efficiency.
- Proficient in general office equipment including printers, copiers, fax, multi-line phone system, and can follow verbal and written instructions.
- Bilingual in Spanish or Mandarin/Cantonese highly preferred.
- Outstanding communicator with excellent speaking, writing, and listening skills.
- Strong leader, capable of uniting and engaging staff for performance.
