Position Overview:
As a Project Foreman, you will be responsible for the on-site management of surface or underground drilling projects, ensuring operations are carried out safely, on time, and within budget. This leadership role requires a deep understanding of drilling operations, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to inspire and manage teams in challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee day-to-day drilling operations for assigned surface or underground projects.
- Ensure compliance with MSHA regulations, company safety protocols, and environmental standards.
- Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and resource allocations to achieve project goals.
- Supervise and coordinate drill crews, equipment operators, and subcontractors to optimize efficiency.
- Conduct regular safety meetings, site inspections, and risk assessments to mitigate hazards.
- Manage and maintain drilling equipment, ensuring functionality and coordinating repairs when necessary.
- Monitor project progress, track key performance metrics, and report to management.
- Address and resolve on-site issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between on-site teams and project stakeholders.
- Prepare and maintain detailed records of project activities, including production logs, safety reports, and resource usage.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in surface or underground drilling.
- Comprehensive knowledge of MSHA regulations and safety best practices for surface and underground operations.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks, and lead diverse teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to dynamic project conditions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a collaborative leadership style.
- Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting drilling equipment and technology.
- Valid driver’s license; additional certifications or equipment licenses are a plus.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and work flexible hours, including shifts, as required.
