The Role:
We are looking for a CAD drafter to support our Survey Team. The candidate needs to be knowledgeable in all phases of land surveying and map preparation, research, land surveying techniques, data extraction, property description preparation and client relations. The position requires good written and oral communication skills. The ideal candidate will be proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D Software. Experience and/or education in drafting technology, Trimble Business Center (TBC) and remote sensing data processing preferred.
Who You Are:

- 3 years’ experience with survey mapping drafting which includes records of survey, corner records, subdivision plats and exhibits
- Experience with Civil 3D, Microstation/Open Roads knowledge is a plus
- Knowledge of topographic surveying, boundary, construction, and point cloud data extraction
- Have good communication skills, willingness to learn, and be a team player
- MS Office skills also a plus
Key Responsibilities
- Work in the office completing survey related drawings
- Read and understand field notes and sketches completed by survey crews
- Perform office calculations for surveys and construction staking
- The ability to read, understand and use prior survey maps and information
- Perform basic office duties, including downloading, data import and reduction, field note scanning and filing, calculations, data checks
- Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- May be asked to walk the project site as a final QA/QC check
