Responsibilities
Product and Service Expertise
- Assist teams and clients in setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting deposit and treasury management products and services.
- Act as the product and systems expert for all treasury management and deposit products and services, including the processes, procedures, and troubleshooting related to: Lockbox, Remote Deposit Capture, Positive Pay, Wire and ACH setup and limit modifications, Online Banking tools, etc.
- Maintain an accurate and detailed inventory of remote deposit scanners, manage scanner shipments, and order additional equipment as needed.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues for clients and team members, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
- Conduct root cause analyses for recurring issues and recommend actionable solutions.
- Monitor daily banking operations and workflow management for the team, including account maintenance and transaction reconciliation.
- Assist in managing and optimizing workflows to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
- Identify areas for automation and assist in implementing technology solutions.
- Assist in the development, documentation, and ongoing management of standard operating procedures (“SOPs”) and processes related to client service requests.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance the client experience.
- Ensure that all operational activities comply with banking regulations, policies, and standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations and best practices for BSA/AML, Reg D Monitoring, Reg E Disputes, Reg CC Holds, Beneficial Ownership, CIP Requirements, etc.
- Collaborate with compliance and audit teams to address findings and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor risk exposure in daily operations and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in banking client services, branch operations, or deposit and/or treasury management operations.
- In-depth knowledge of banking regulations and treasury and deposit products.
- Strong understanding of banking regulations, including AML, KYC, and other compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies in banking, such as fintech solutions and automation tools.
- Embodies the Fortis Bank culture principles and competencies and consistently demonstrating a positive, ambitious, and solution-oriented attitude with clients and team members.
- Proficient and experienced in Microsoft Office suite products and technology, including but not limited to: Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong ability to adapt to systems and technology.
- Communicates effectively and professionally, both verbally and via e-mail and other chat tools.
- Excellent organizational skills, regularly demonstrating the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build meaningful professional relationships with senior management and team members.
