Job Summary
We are seeking a Shipper to join our team. The Shipper will be responsible for preparing and shipping orders accurately and efficiently.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process all outbound (retail, wholesale and tour) shipments and mail
- Maintain shipping software databases necessary to facilitate the processing of shipments
- Prepares all necessary international paperwork as required by export/import laws (ProForma invoices, Certificates of Origin, Shipper’s letter of Instruction and Consent to inspect cargo)
- Prepares bill of landings, checks items to be shipped against orders to ascertain that quantities, destination and routing are correct
- Traces lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments; initiates proof of delivery documents. Prepares and monitors critical shipments until delivery to ensure all commitments have been met
- Orders and maintains shipping supplies/materials and maintains postage meter supplies
- Initiates and resolves service failures when required
- Communicates carrier holidays and severe weather closures/disruptions/exceptions to all necessary parties
- Effectively communicates exceptions/issues to supervisor and/or manager
- Prepares end of day reports and distributes to all necessary parties. Maintains daily real-time ship manifest

- Follows established departmental policies, produces, objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives and safety/ environmental/ infection control standards

Skills/Qualifications:

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
