Knowledge, skills, education, and/or experience Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor s degree
Desired skills: Familiarity with the coastal environment (including urban, suburban and rural areas) and geography a plus.
Duties/Responsibilities: Job duties include reviewing site plans, surveys, property records, historic maps, aerial photography, and other technical information geared toward issuing Tidelands grants, leases, and licenses pertinent to real estate transactions that involve lands currently or formerly flowed by waters owned by the State. Additional duties include conducting meetings with applicants, performing field inspections, maintaining clear and accurate notes, records, and files, and writing summary reports with recommendations for grants, leases, and licenses. The position also involves utilization of various types of electronic and/or manual recording and information systems used by the bureau, including GIS and GPS.
