What are the responsibilities and job description for the MEMBER SOLUTIONS SPECIALIST position at Fox Communities Credit Union?
We currently have a career opportunity for a full-time Member Solutions Specialist based out of our corporate office (Enterprise) in Appleton!
The Member Solutions Specialist creates a positive member experience as we strive to understand and show empathy for members showing signs of financial hardship. Establishes strong member relationships while assisting members and other departments with their requests by phone or electronic delivery channels. The Member Solutions Specialist preserves the credit union’s assets by controlling delinquent loan accounts, collecting delinquent loan payments, and / or recovering collateral.
The primary responsibilities of the Member Solutions Specialist role include but are not limited to :
- Contacting delinquent accounts in the “30-days or more past due” queues by various communication methods, taking appropriate action to provide solutions for the member to bring the account current
- Engaging the member to get a greater understanding and looks to know “why” the member has a financial hardship
- Maintaining accurate files and reports on all collections activities
- Recognizing complex legal matters, bankruptcy, foreclosures, and repossessions and working with specialists and manager to handle these matters
- Managing a specialist queue, updating procedures within the specialty area, providing training to staff on issues that arise within the specialty area, keeping informed of trends and new developments within the specialty area by reading related articles and attending further education opportunities
- Analyzing financial situations of delinquent borrowers and making recommendations for any further action necessary to resolve the account
- Informing management of trends in loan underwriting contributing to delinquent / charged-off loans
Candidates for the Member Solutions Specialist position should possess :
Hours : Mon.-Fri. 8am-5 : 00pm, Sat. 9-12 (one Saturday every two months)
