As a Payment Processor, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the company by ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments. Your work will directly contribute to our ability to serve our customers and keep our operations running smoothly.
Job Responsibilities:
- Process Payments with Precision: Handle a variety of payment methods, including EFT, credit cards, and direct transactions to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Reconcile Accounts: Track and manage customer balances, including monitoring and following up on outstanding debts.
- Maintain Reports: Update and run daily and monthly reports, keeping financial data up to date and accessible.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with the Accounts Payable department to reconcile balances and streamline financial processes.
- Problem Solving & Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify issues, solve problems, and ensure that discrepancies are resolved efficiently.
- Master New Tools: Become proficient in ProfitZoom, using the software to enhance workflow and accuracy.
- Support Office Needs: Assist with miscellaneous office tasks, contributing to the smooth operation of the department.
Job Requirements:
- Prior Experience: At least 2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, with a strong understanding of financial processes and procedures is preferred. Collections experience is a plus.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and experience with financial software (ProfitZoom is a plus).
- Detail-Oriented & Reliable: Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to handle repetitive tasks.
- Independent & Motivated: The ability to work autonomously and stay motivated without constant supervision.
- Strong Communication Skills: Be an effective and professional communicator, both over the phone and via email.
- Math Skills: Basic to intermediate math skills, including experience working with numbers in an accounting setting.
- Team Player: A positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with others to achieve common goals.
