The Materials Manager is responsible for production control, inventory and scheduling of various assembly lines based upon customer orders, inventory and manufacturing capacity. You would join a Global Manufacturing Company specializing in manufacturing serving off-road and on-highway heavy truck / automotive industry.
Job Function:
- Manage a team of Planners & Schedulers - manage production schedules of various assembly lines and related inventory.
- Analyze customer orders to lead efforts for production schedules - Plan and prioritize production activities to meet delivery deadlines and customer requirements.
- Work closely with purchasing, inventory and production managers to align materials availability with production schedules.
- Monitor and adjust schedules to accommodate changes in customer demand or supply chain constraints.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong knowledge of production planning and scheduling - 5 or more years of experience in production scheduling, materials management, or related areas.
- Proven leadership in managing planning, scheduling, and supply chain teams.
- Prior experience in Automotive industry is a huge plus, but not essential as long as there is production scheduling / materials management background.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills to drive alignment and results.
- Hands-on experience in scheduling in a high volume setting is highly preferred. College degree is not essential, but is a plus,
