Position Summary: The Construction Project Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the planning, execution, and delivery of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure projects. This role serves as the central point of communication among internal teams, external contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about contributing to the growth of sustainable transportation.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Regional Construction Managers in planning and executing EV charging station construction projects.
- Maintain project schedules, track milestones, and ensure deliverables are met on time.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Prepare and manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and compliance records.
- Generate regular progress reports for stakeholders, highlighting risks, delays, and resolutions.
- Act as a liaison between internal teams and external partners.
- Facilitate regular project meetings and distribute meeting minutes with actionable items.
- Monitor project budgets and expenses, ensuring alignment with financial forecasts.
- Support procurement processes, including vendor selection and purchase orders.
- Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company standards.
- Promote a culture of safety by identifying potential risks and implementing preventive measures.
- Identify and address project issues promptly to avoid delays.
- Propose innovative solutions to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Education and Experience:
- 2 years of experience in construction project coordination or management, ideally in EV infrastructure, renewable energy, or a related industry.
- Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Smartsheet) and construction documentation.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Passion for sustainability and clean energy.
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- A degree in construction management or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
