Assistant Activities Director/ Dean of Students

The Francis Howell School District is seeking a Dean of Students I Assistant High School Activities Director. This building leader will divide their time supporting the Administrative Team and the Activities Director Office.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to facilitate site educational programs related to student discipline, facilities, transportation, and building operations. In addition, will show evidence of their ability to direct site activities, athletic, educational and leadership programs/services and related functions for students. The successful. candidate will be a member of the school's administrative leadership team providing support to maintain and increase student engagement and attachment to school.

• Current number of certified staff-approximately 97 FTE
• Current administrative staff-principal, associate principal, three assistant principals & one activities director

Basic Qualifications:

• Master's degree
• Valid teaching certification (Appropriate principal certification preferred)
• Successful Teaching Experience (5 years of high school experience preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years teaching experience
• Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
• Coaching or Sponsor experience at the High School level preferred
• Student Leadership experience
• Professional Learning Communities Training (preferred)
• Technology literate & familiar with the use of data
• Knowledge of state standards, specifically Missouri State High School Activities Association rules and regulations

• Base Salary: Starting at $51,360, commensurate with step and experience.
• Additional Benefits: Includes a standard teacher contract, 15 extra workdays, and a $2,500 stipend.
