Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Counter Person to join our team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong understanding of the culinary field. As a Counter Person, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service while maintaining the quality of our food offerings.
Morning shifts are 11:00am - 4:00pm
evening shifts are 4:00pm - 9:00pm
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide them with information about menu items and specials.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all requests are met.
- Utilize basic math skills for processing transactions and handling cash.
- Assist in upselling menu items to enhance the customer experience.
- Maintain cleanliness at the counter area, including bussing tables and cleaning surfaces as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food items.
- Manage time effectively to handle peak hours smoothly while maintaining high service standards.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and company policies.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry or grocery store setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations and culinary practices is a plus.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.
- Basic math skills for accurate order processing and cash handling are essential.
