Compensation: $80,000 - $85,000

Reports to: Finance Director

About the Role:

Our client, a rapidly growing organization, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to join their Finance team. This newly created role reflects the organization’s ongoing growth and commitment to enhancing financial efficiency and accuracy across all areas. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute directly to improving financial processes and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a deep understanding of the Workday ERP system to optimize and innovate financial processes.
• Work to reduce waste, enhance accuracy, and improve the team’s overall understanding of financial workflows.
• Oversee the accounting and records for all company assets.
• Conduct periodic audits, manage asset assignments, and perform inventory reviews under the guidance of Financial Leadership.
• Develop training materials to guide Finance Department staff and external stakeholders on financial processes, ensuring consistent understanding and compliance.
• Maintain personal time log data to aid Finance Leadership in identifying potential areas for process optimization and increased operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with the Senior Financial Analyst to prepare timely and accurate periodic financial statements and monthly financial dashboards.
• Partner with department leaders to assess and review reserves, contributing to the organization’s reserve calculations and operating budget.
• Analyze and interpret financial data to provide insights that support effective decision-making within internal leadership teams.
• Prepare selected journal entries for the general ledger and assist with closing each accounting period and fiscal year in collaboration with the CFO, Finance Department Manager, and Financial Services Team.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred, though candidates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
• Experience: At least 3 years in an Accounting or Finance role, with a strong understanding of general ledger management, financial reporting, and ERP systems.
• Technical Skills: Experience with Workday ERP is a plus.
