The Role:


Freo Group is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Manager to join our NSW team, travelling between clients, head offices, sites and depots. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, this role is pivotal in managing our existing customer portfolio and identifying future sales opportunities over a 6-12 month horizon.


As a Technical Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in nurturing client relationships and ensuring our solutions align with client needs and strategic objectives.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Maintain and grow relationships with current clients throughout NSW.
  • Creation of proposal documents including technical solutions, project schedules and
  • Monitor and follow up on contractual agreements to ensure adherence and customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively identify and pursue sales opportunities in alignment with Freo Group’s business strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to tailor solutions that meet client requirements.
  • Provide regular reporting on sales activities and outcomes.
  • Technical guidance to the execution team for creation and final approval of complex lift studies.
  • Contract negotiation at final stages of contact award.
  • Consultation with clients for approval of lifting operations.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Participate in industry events and conferences to promote Freo Group's services.


Key Requirements:


  • Proven experience in technical sales within the industrial, maintenance, construction, mining or heavy civil/mechanical projects would be beneficial. Experience in crane services preferred but not a must.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Willingness to travel within NSW, with occasional interstate travel required.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
