Director of Accounting/Controller

Key Responsibilities:

Cash Management:

• Coordinate inspections and draw requests with banks, communicating details to the Paralegal & CFO.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and submit reconciliations for CFO review.

Accounts Receivable:

• Verify bank deposits and record in the ERP.
• Calculate and record co-op dues and review sales for quarterly accruals.

Payroll:

• Prepare weekly payroll journal entries.
• Perform monthly and yearly payroll reconciliations.

Accounts Payable:

• Review invoices, print checks, and submit to CFO for approval.
• Track and record partner contributions, interest, and ensure timely payments.

Journal Entries:

• Prepare and record all journal entries accurately.

Financial Reporting & Month-End Processes:

• Review and prepare accurate financial statements, ensuring GAAP compliance.
• Close financial periods promptly after statement preparation and perform reconciliations.

Insurance:

• Annually review insurance policies and coverage with providers.
• Oversee the myCOI Certificate of Insurance program.

Budgeting:

• Perform budget vs. actual comparisons and prepare the preliminary budget.
• Prepare the budget for review by the COO, CFO, and President.

Auditing:

• Prepare audit responses and provide required documentation.
• Assist with preparing annual review worksheets for auditors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
