FSS Staffing is now hiring a Material Handler in Wilkes-Barre, PA
Pay Rate: $17/hr.
Shift: 1st

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS
Drives electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift and clamps, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials by performing the following duties.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
- In compliance with the Warehouse Safety Procedures, properly stages material in specified location
- Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area.
- Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
- Inventories materials on work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed including trays for lines.
- Maintains proper inventory in resin room.
- Stores unused components and deissue to specified location.
- Moves finished product into specified area in the warehouse.
- Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device.
- Lubricates truck, recharges batteries.
- Complies with company personnel and safety policies and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Performs special projects and assignments as directed by supervisory personnel
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience..
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Microsoft Windows based applications.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must complete internal forklift certification course.
