What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intake Representative position at Futures Recovery Healthcare?
Job Summary: Under the general direction of the Director of Organizational Compliance and Research, the Intake Representative is responsible for completing and explaining the client admission paperwork, patient rights, program rules and expectations.
Education: HSD or GED required
Experience: Previous experience working in a chemical dependency residential program or inpatient treatment program preferred
Licenses/ Certifications: Valid Driver’s License required
Skills/ Knowledge: Customer/client focus, teamwork orientation, ethical conduct, flexibility, stress management/ composure, personal effectiveness/ credibility, technical capacity and initiative
- Complete and explain admission paperwork to clients.
- Orient newly admitted clients on patient rights, program rules and expectations.
- Instruct and confirm the company’s rules and regulations to new admissions.
- Complete searches of client belongings for contraband and forbidden items
- Complete Coordination of Benefits documentation for clients
- Follow up on client accounts balances, when necessary.
- Evaluate quality of program on an ongoing basis.
- Facilitate communication with ancillary services.
- Build positive relationships with staff and physicians.
- Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility to changes in the work environment.
- Follow Infection Control Guidelines at all times.
- Report personal symptoms of suspected illness or contagious diseases to the Infection Control Nurse.
- Complete and forward copy of Incident Reports and any other safety/risk issues immediately to the Program Director.
- Provide a safe, therapeutic environment for staff and patients.
- Answer and make business-related phone calls as needed.
- Update the Electronic Medical Records.
- Adhere to facility standards concerning conduct, dress, attendance, and punctuality.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Attend in-service training, when necessary.
- Attitude demonstrates a positive approach and commitment reflecting professionalism and ethical standards.
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
