Janitorial Worker

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance, with an emphasis on high standards of hygiene and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance.
• Carry out custodial duties in both commercial and industrial settings, ensuring all areas are clean and well-maintained.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts in accordance with environmental guidelines.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting any shortages or needs for replenishment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while performing cleaning duties.
• Provide porter services when required, assisting with the movement of furniture or equipment.

Experience

• Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is a plus.
• Experience in commercial or industrial cleaning environments is advantageous.
• Knowledge of basic facilities maintenance practices is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $15.50 - $16.00 per hour
