The Job
As a System Consultant at GeekPlus, you are the trusted system partner for our clients, drawing on your domain expertise in providing guidance specific to the role of software in the delivery of advanced mobile robotics solutions. You will gain a solid understanding of the GeekPlus software suite and apply your experience and industry best practice knowledge in collaboration with our product management and market strategy leaders to help drive improvements within our software offerings. You'll lead and participate in project reviews, estimation, scheduling, execution, testing, implementation and sustaining activities. As an empowered leader in a team of doers, you'll be expected to manage ambiguity, handle multiple requests, and wear whatever hat it takes to accomplish the task at hand.
Requirements
- BS/MS in Management Information Systems, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or Related Field of Study
- 1-3 years of practical Material Handling software experience with Warehouse Management Systems or Warehouse Execution Systems as a business analyst, functional consultant, product manager, or pre-sales engineer
- Professional Communication Skills
- Preferred Skills: Python, SQL, data analytics, Linux server.
Highly Valued
- Warehouse business process knowledge and design for highly automated systems in logistic-intensive industries, such as e-commerce, retail, logistic service provider (3PL), consumer products, automotive, or manufacturing
- Customer-facing ability to design business & system processes with warehouse planners, industrial engineers and WMS/WES product managers
- Functional ability to translate business requirements to functional specifications and effectively guide software developers on design and validation/testing
- Technical configuration experience with WES, WMS, and WCS integrated with a wide variety of automation equipment and external applications
- Integration with automated MHE such as AS/RS, conveyors/sorters, AMR
- Understanding and use of MHE layouts and system material informational flows
- Creation and delivery of presentations to client executive-level decision makers
- Familiarity with Manhattan, SAP, JDA, Oracle is a plus
- Self-motivated and able to solve problems independently and work well in a team environment
- Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience
- Programming skill is a plus but not required
- Mandarin Speaking is a plus
- Ability to travel as necessary
