This position will be responsible for ensuring facility equipment is functioning at all times. They will perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure production machinery runs efficiently. Technicians will be responsible for tear down, repair, reassembly and modifications of machinery. They must be able to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical problems.
The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant. However, employees who have access to the compensation information of other employees or applicants as a part of their essential job functions cannot disclose the pay of other employees or applicants to individuals who do not otherwise have access to compensation information, unless the disclosure is (a) in response to a formal complaint or charge, (b) in furtherance of an investigation, proceeding, hearing, or action, including an investigation conducted by the employer, or (c) consistent with the contractor’s legal duty to furnish information. 41 CFR 60-1.35(c)

- Required general knowledge in mechanics (gears, bearings, pulleys, belts, etc.), pneumatics and hydraulics in order to effectively perform various duties to maintain production machines.
- Conduct machine set ups, troubleshooting, repairs and preventative maintenance service.
- Examine parts for defects, such as breakage and excessive wear.
- Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
- Disassemble and reassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts to inspect, test and repair.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools to fulfill tasks.
- Clean, lubricate and adjust parts of machinery.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
