Job Description: Supervisor – Waterborne Coatings Manufacturing Facility

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to oversee operations at our waterborne coatings manufacturing facility. The Supervisor will be responsible for managing all aspects of manufacturing, ensuring adherence to quality standards, optimizing efficiency, continuous improvement, and maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Oversight
   • Manage day-to-day manufacturing activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow to achieve perfect “on time and full” delivery of waterborne products.
   • Ensure production goals are met while maintaining the highest quality standards.
   • Oversee inventory management to ensure raw materials and finished products are properly stored.
   • Maintain appropriate levels of finished products as determined by management.
   • Foster a positive and functional relationship with all departments.
2. Team Leadership
   • Supervise, train, and mentor production staff to maximize performance and company engagement.
   • Promote a collaborative and safety-conscious work culture.
   • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
3. Quality Assurance
   • Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with company quality standards and customer specifications.
   • Collaborate with the necessary departments to address non-conformance and develop corrective actions.
4. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance
   • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
   • Encourage and facilitate participation in employee training programs.
5. Process Improvement
   • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste and costs.
   • Collaborate with R&D teams to trial new formulations or processes and improve existing work.
   • Maintain equipment reliability through regular operator preventative maintenance and collaboration with the maintenance team.
6. Reporting and Documentation
   • Maintain accurate records of production activities and inventory levels.
   • Prepare and present operational reports to management as requested.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Preferred 5 years manufacturing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Familiarity with safety standards, including OSHA and environmental compliance regulations.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in production planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Working conditions for this position are in a plant environment. The employee may be exposed to dust, fumes, and extreme temperatures.

Salary : $55,000
