Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Loan Officer Assistant to join our team. The Loan Officer Assistant will support the loan officers in managing their pipeline, coordinating loan documentation, and ensuring a smooth and efficient process for clients applying for loans. Key Responsibilities:
Loan Processing Support:
- Assist the Loan Officer in gathering and organizing required documents for loan applications.
- Communicate with clients to request necessary paperwork, such as income verification, credit reports, and other supporting documents.
- Prepare loan files for underwriting by ensuring all required documents are complete and accurate.
- Review loan files for compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
- Track loan application progress and follow up with clients and third-party vendors to ensure timely processing.
Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to client inquiries regarding the status of their loan applications.
- Act as a liaison between the loan officer, clients, underwriters, and other departments to ensure smooth communication throughout the process.
- Address client concerns and help resolve any issues that may arise during the loan application process.
Administrative Support:
- Schedule meetings and appointments for loan officers with clients and real estate professionals.
- Maintain and update loan files and databases with accurate information.
- Assist in the preparation of loan approval and denial letters.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations related to loan processing.
Pipeline Management:
- Assist in managing and tracking the loan pipeline to ensure timely closings.
- Keep loan officers updated on the status of loan files and any outstanding requirements.
- Provide regular reports on the status of loan applications and documents to management.
Documentation & Filing:
- Maintain organized records of all loan applications, correspondence, and documentation.
- Ensure that all client files are properly filed and stored, following company protocols and compliance regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in the mortgage or financial services industry is a plus.
- Knowledge of mortgage lending procedures and regulatory guidelines (e.g., RESPA, TILA, TRID) is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with mortgage processing software.
- Spanish Speaking
