- Outreach and promotion of gastroenterology services to offices referral base / primary care physicians. Serve as a primary point of contact and support service excellence for this customer group. Collaborate with practice manager in development of marketing materials and strategies.
- Supervision of office staff including but not limited to, interview and candidate selections, disciplinary action, performance evaluation and terminations.
- Schedule office personnel to maximize efficiency and benefit business operations.
- Administrative support to physicians and practice manager including but not limited to electronic medical records, scheduling and billing, compliance, management reporting, staffing, and credentialing.
- Assure that practice operations in the functional areas of medical records, front office, and scheduling are conducted in a professional and efficient manner.
- Work to assure that physician time and productivity is maximized through appointment schedule management and through effective operations of the office
- Assistant manager may oversee and be responsible for assigned staff through direct observation and periodic audits.
- Assist with ongoing training of clinic staff.
- Attend Practice Management Meetings
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and others
- Knowledgeable of medical office procedures and billing and insurance.
- Competent in IT, experienced in healthcare applications.
- Maintains professionalism effectively under stressful conditions
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient technical (computer) skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Self-motivated with initiative.
- Strong sense of ethics.
- Team player
