What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance Analyst Intern position at Gibsons Restaurant Group?
Position Summary:
The Finance Analyst Intern will gain skill and experience in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Financial Planning &Analysis (FP&A) function ensuring that all deadlines are met with the highest degree of accuracy. They will also be exposed to general accounting project and tasks. This is a five month internship on site in our Chicago corporate office with flexibility in total hours but a minimum of 25 hours per week is expected.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the weekly labor shell analysis and labor productivity reporting including but not limited to:
A. Prepare weekly Labor Dashboards for all Restaurants
B. Weekly Labor Shell & Schedule Reconciliation
- Assist with annual Budgeting process including but not limited to:
A. Creating Budget Templates
B. Upload each restaurant budget into Dynamics/FRX
C. Upload Corporate budget into Dynamics/FRX
- Assist with ad hoc financial and operational analyses
- Support roll out of new A/P automation solution, specifically by managing Vendor set up and including processing and posting payments
- Consolidate Restaurant Financial Information for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics or related discipline. Ideal candidate would be in a Master’s Program. Highly proficient with excel / Google Sheets with ability to analyze, summarize and present data quickly.
Skills:
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work well independently and intuitively in a fast-paced environment. Must possess sound communication skills in order to interact with vendors, management and co-workers. Must possess strong problem solving and analytical skills. Should have a firm understanding of accounting-related software needed to perform the job.
Salary : $22 - $25
