POSITION OVERVIEW
GBA is searching for a Director of Programs (DoP) responsible for designing, creating, and implementing ongoing programming content and in creating and executing training workshops and curricula for the members of GBA to be delivered both virtually and in person. The position will lead the development of programming content, creating a schedule of programs, and managing the implementation of programming and program events. The role will partner with the President/CEO on strategic program initiatives and engage with key stakeholders to develop and manage partnerships.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Leadership
- Create and implement an annual programming plan that aligns with the organization’s strategic plan and priorities.
- Ensures that all programs are on track to meet funding deliverables and internal goals.
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of GBA programs and programmatic events, including #TheCouchConversations, educational workshops, and donor training.
- Collaborate with the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to identify and recruit prominent national keynote speakers.
- Create new programming designed to reach and draw a national audience on issues of significance for GBA.
- Develop strategic programmatic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage the programmatic budget and provide input during the annual budgeting process and multi-year forecasting.
- Serve as a thought partner to the CEO, helping resolve key programmatic challenges, advocating for participant needs, offering strategic perspectives, and helping identify risks and tradeoffs.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to deepen the impact of the programs and advance initiatives.
Monitoring and Reporting:
- Ensure that all program data is recorded in Salesforce and reported out via database and meetings.
- Evaluate programs on a regularly scheduled basis to determine program quality, identify areas for improvement, and create a plan to work towards quality improvement.
- Collect program data from internal and external sources to prepare presentation materials, annual and evaluative reports, and routine correspondence.
- Establish and maintain systems for data collection and management.
Program Operations and Event Management:
- Prepare all program and event materials, including run of shows, course materials, and toolkits to use after events.
- Partner with the Marketing team to promote programming, including events, stories, and impact.
- Oversee all components of GBA’s event logistics, including supplies, program materials, appreciation items, food supplies/catering, and equipment.
- Collaborate with team members and serve as the organization’s point person to coordinate event operations.
Fundraising
- Participate in organization-wide fundraising events.
- Encourage participants’ /community participation in organization-wide fundraising events.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5-7 Years of programmatic experience with at least 2 years in a program leadership capacity
- 2 Years of event management experience, preferred
- Experience developing and utilizing data tracking and management systems
- Able to build and manage a diverse cohort of stakeholders
- Strong communication skills including writing for external audiences
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Salesforce
- Proficient in project management systems
- Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Excellent organizational skills and exacting attention to detail
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with excellent time-management skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced work environment
- Deep personal commitment to GBA’s work and mission
Salary : $70,000 - $75,000
