What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infrastructure Field Project Manager position at GLH Construction, Inc.?
GLH Construction LLC is a northern Colorado civil construction company and has been providing infrastructure construction since 1996. GLH also has a sister company that provides curb, gutter, and sidewalk construction. The companies have just over a 100 team members. Our services are primarily wet utility, roadway, and concrete construction for new subdivisions as well as construction and repair for governmental and public utility entities. We are looking for a field project manager to add to our company.
The ideal candidate will have five years of experience in infrastructure construction to include sewer, water, storm sewer installation, roadway construction and curb, gutter & sidewalk construction. Ability to read and understand plans is required.
Duties Include but are not limited to:
- Communicate with production crews on job progress and next day needs
- Review project plans, specifications, drawings, TCP, geotechnical reports, and permits
- Develop and maintain a good relationship with Owners, Architects and Contractors
- Assist the production teams with receiving all required information needed to perform work in the field
- Help encourage an environment that promotes safety and safe working practices
- Review and analyze project specifications; perform field inspections to verify quantities, quality of work, and verify compliance
- Work effectively and respectfully with other project team members to ensure project Assist in organization of project files and prepare and maintain project documentation (ensure all documentation such as photographs, emails, texts, etc. are properly labeled, filed and saved in the project folders - make sure any important unfollowed recommendations are very well documented)
- Coordinate with municipalities and other government agencies from start to completion of the project
- Monitor permit status for each project
- Prepare and maintain project documentation
- Look ahead to determine crucial task timing and possible conflicts and/or delays
- Track and report on project milestones at weekly meetings
- Performs construction inspection/observation efforts
- Gather and archive documents and photographs of key activities in job files
- Assist Estimator with monthly progress billings, including providing detailed progress quantities
- Support Estimator/Project Manager with Change Orders and Requests for Information
- Monitor dust control and assist with on dust complaints
- Adjoining property owners’ communication and coordination
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Experience:
- Five or more years of experience in infrastructure construction to include general knowledge on sewer, water, storm sewer installation, roadway construction and curb, gutter, & sidewalk construction, as well as dry utility coordination
- Positive attitude and be invested in furthering the success of GLH Construction
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including MS Project
- Knowledge of Bluebeam software is very helpful
- Well organized and have good time management and communication skills
- Must be able to lift up to 60lbs

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
