Job Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Kayak Guide to join our team on the East Shore of Lake Tahoe. As a Kayak Guide, you will be responsible for leading kayak tours, ensuring the safety of participants, and providing an enjoyable and educational experience. Duties:
- Lead kayak tours and provide instruction to participants on proper kayaking techniques.
- Ensure the safety of all participants by conducting safety briefings.
- Educate participants about the local environment, wildlife, and history during tours
- Assist participants with launching and docking kayaks.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing participant needs and concerns.
- Communicate effectively with participants, providing clear instructions and guidance.
- Perform daily set up and tear down duties.
Requirements:
- Strong leadership skills to guide and manage groups during kayak tours.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure tours run smoothly and on schedule.
- Exceptional customer service skills to create a positive experience for participants.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with participants and address their needs
-You must be able to swim 500 yards in 10 minutes to pass the Water-Front Lifeguard cert.
-You must be able to retrieve a 10lbs weight from a depth of 12 feet.
-You must be able to tread water with the 10lbs weight above the water serface for 2 minutes.
-Previous or current lifeguard cert is a plus. We do provide training and recertifications for those that do not have current certs.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
