Purpose of Job:
The Platform Technician is responsible for the support, administration, quality assurance, training, and testing of the applications and academic software built and/or used by Goal Academy utilizing the processes and procedures established by the Application Services team.

- Assists the platforms Generalist with administering the academic platforms utilized by GOAL Academy Highschool, including but not limited to: PowerSchool, Schoology, Clever.
- Participates in the Quality Assurance process as defined by the Director of Application Services by providing testing and training on our custom-built applications.
- Provide end user support for users and students working with GOAL Academy IT assets.
- Assists the Platforms Generalist with supporting custom built applications.
- Provides Q/A and Testing for 3rd-party applications following the processes and procedures established by the Director of Application Services.
- Works with the Platforms Generalist in Overseeing and providing support for the Student Information System.
- Responsible for Tier 1 interaction and support of Application Services and Platform based tickets within our helpdesk.
- Collaborates with all members of the Application Services term to provide and maintain operational instructions to ensure application, platform, and courseware continuity.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to treat sensitive and confidential matters with discretion.
- Any additional reporting required by the Chief Information Officer or Director of Application Services.
- 10% travel required, in-state only.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in end user support (IT industry preferred).
- Achievement of the Microsoft Certified Educator (MCE) credential within 6 months of hire.
- Familiarity with the following platforms preferred:
- Schoology
- Clever
- PowerSchool
- Office 365
- Teams
- Aleks
- Reading Plus
- Help Desk and support ticket management experience.
