Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership of volunteers

• Oversee operations and day-to-day leadership of clerical & food distribution volunteers for efficient operation
• Provides day-to-day leadership when the ED is absent
• Perform duties of any vacant volunteer position
• Train new volunteers
• Plan and execute special volunteer events

Oversee God’s Storehouse Malcom Huckabee Backpacks program:

• Maintain ongoing communication with God’s Storehouse and Danville Public Schools, County Headstart, its staff, and its parents
• Manage, review and revise menu, as needed
• Schedule delivery days and update delivery documents
• Oversee backpack evaluation and feedback process and report on the success of the program

Other Duties

• Because of the nature of this role, other duties may be assigned as needed to promote professional growth.

Qualifications

• · High School Diploma or GED, bachelor’s degree desirable and a minimum of 1 year of proven results in nonprofit management
• Basic understanding of nonprofit organizations and/or background in the nonprofit sector, including general understanding of nonprofit accounting practices
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Office and Google Suite, email and internet applications, basic office equipment and comfort with learning new applications
• Mastery to work independently and as cohesively with a team
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; must be able to communicate with diverse groups of people and keep them all informed and engaged

Physical Demands:
Some physical activity required: walking, lifting (no more than 40 pounds), pushing, and pulling. Full-time position (40 hours per week).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
