What you’ll do:
- Coordinate daily benefits processing. Handle enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries and update employee payroll records
- Gather employee data and oversee the processing of monthly billings and the preparation of vouchers for payment of administrative fees for all group plans.
- Coordinate transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums and plan administration.
- Provide customer service support to internal and external customers. Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of the company's benefits package.
- Design and distribute materials for benefits orientations, open enrollment and summary plan descriptions.
- Serve as secondary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators.
- Assist in a variety of HR departmental activities and projects as needed
- Assist in coordinating volunteer outings for employees of the company
What you’ll need:
- 2-4 years of experience in Human Resources or employee benefits
- Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related field preferred
- Strong attention to detail & accuracy
- Excellent record of cross functional collaboration
- High energy and team spirit
- Effective planning and priority setting. The ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with payroll, HRIS and benefits databases a plus
- Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefits programs
