GPS Education Partners (GPSEd) is a non-profit organization that utilizes an innovative education model to build strategic partnerships with education, business, and the community. Our partnerships enable us to accelerate students interested in technical careers, by preparing them for life after graduation through a credentialed work-based learning solution.
The Development Associate will play a crucial role in supporting the organization's fundraising and community engagement initiatives throughout Wisconsin. This position involves building and maintaining relationships with donors, community partners, and stakeholders to advance our mission. The Associate will assist in the planning and execution of fundraising events, coordinate donor communications, and help engage new supporters.
Essential Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Support the cultivation of state-level partnership opportunities that align with the organization’s mission and contribute to community-enhancing initiatives.
- Research and identify potential funding opportunities, including grants from foundations, corporations, and government entities. Successfully maintain relationships with existing and prospective donors to foster engagement and support for the organization.
- Implement effective outreach strategies to engage stakeholders and raise awareness for the organization’s initiatives and resource needs. Coordinate with the marketing and program teams to execute donor correspondence including invoices, personalized thank-you letters, and impact reports that highlight GPS Ed's achievements.
- Coordinate donor appreciation events to recognize and celebrate local partner contributions, strengthening relationships and promoting continued support. Assist in the planning and execution of additional fundraising events and campaigns throughout Wisconsin.
- Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and conferences to promote initiatives and build connections with key local stakeholders.
- Track fundraising progress and donor engagement metrics, providing regular reports to inform strategy and decision-making. Ensure accurate and up-to-date records in donor databases, tracking engagement and contributions effectively.

Key Qualifications:
- Minimum [1-3] years of experience in fundraising, development, or nonprofit management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Passion for community development and a commitment to the organization’s mission.
Working Conditions:
- This position may require occasional evening or weekend work for events and meetings.
- Travel within Wisconsin may be required.
