Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Director to lead our healthcare team in delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of outpatient programs. The Clinical Director will oversee the clinical operations of the program, ensuring that all services meet state regulations, payer requirements, and best practices in mental health and substance use treatment. This role includes supervising clinical staff and pre-licensed therapists to maintain compliance and deliver high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and provide clinical oversight for licensed and pre-licensed therapists, ensuring adherence to ethical and professional standards.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of clinical services through regular chart audits and performance reviews.
- Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Colorado regulations and accreditation standards.
- Conduct weekly supervision meetings with clinical staff, providing guidance on case management, treatment planning, and documentation.
- Collaborate with the Program Director to integrate clinical services into the overall treatment model.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new clinical staff.
- Ensure proper documentation of supervision hours for pre-licensed therapists to meet licensure requirements.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and provide expertise on complex cases.
- Stay informed on updates to state laws, payer guidelines, and best practices in the field.
Qualifications
Education: Master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
Licensure: Active Indiana licensure as one of the following:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Health Service Provider in Psychology (HSPP)
Experience:
- At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a behavioral health setting.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience working in and outpatient program..
- In-depth knowledge of state licensing requirements, payer guidelines, and ASAM criteria.
- Firm understanding of medical necessity and how to ensure clinicians are documenting to meet medical necessity.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems. (KIPU)
