G.I.S. is seeking a skilled IT Field Support Technician to join a highly sought after Oil & Gas client. This role will provide technical support for computer systems and users, including satellite offices, field communications locations, and rigs.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional IT field support by troubleshooting technical issues related to software, hardware, and network issues in an oil & gas environment
- Act as first line of computer support while working with other IT staff on more complex problems
- Troubleshoot Laptops, while working in Windows 10/11/Server 2008 environment; troubleshoot Ricoh printer issues, Citrix systems
- Research and deploy new equipment and technologies
- General knowledge of active directory and managing users
- Provide technical support to end-users
- Work special projects as needed
- Travel to assigned field locations as needed
- Work on-call one (1) week per month
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent preferred
- 1 years demonstrated experience with IT field support on computer systems and users, including satellite offices, field communications locations, and rigs
- Well versed with Ricoh printers and laptop troubleshooting, with proficiency in Windows 10/11/Server 2008; Citrix systems
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical information to non-technical users a must
- Must be able to work on-call one (1) week per month, including weekends and holidays
- Must have valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record
- Must be able to pass all onboarding requirements including background, drug, MVR, etc.
- Must reside in Seminole, Andrews or Monahans, TX to be considered
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
