JOB TITLE: BANK TELLER
JOB DETAILS:
Grand Valley Bank is looking to hire a full-time Teller at our Fruita branch, located at 452 S. Maple, Fruita, CO 81521. This position is scheduled for 40 hours per week, with a Saturday rotation, and the flexibility to fill in as needed.
JOB SUMMARY:
Tellers are responsible for providing excellent banking service to our customers in a professional and courteous manner, maintaining a basic understanding of our banking products and services, accurately and efficiently processing customer transactions, and fully complying with bank policies and regulations.
WEEKLY SCHEUDLE:
- Monday through Thursday: 8:30AM to 5:30PM
- Friday: 9:00AM to 6:00PM
- Saturday (when scheduled): 8:15AM to 12:00PM

A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A TELLER:
Tellers will assist customers by answering questions, completing various transactions, uncovering basic financial needs, recommending products/services to help meet their goals, and referring them to other bank specialists when appropriate. With each transaction, you will need to ensure compliance with our policies and procedures, as well as maintain a commitment to personalized customer interaction.
QUALIFICATIONS TO BE A TELLER:
- Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office
- Excellent math skills; 10-key a plus
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently with attention to detail
- Successful time-management and organizational habits, prioritizing punctuality and attendance
- Effective conflict-resolution and reasoning skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Prior banking / customer service / cash handling experience preferred but not required
ENVIRONMENT: This job takes place in an office setting, both sitting and standing behind the Teller line, with light to moderate physical lifting requirements.
