5th Grade Teacher

The Public School Teacher is responsible for creating a positive learning environment that encourages student growth and achievement. The teacher will develop and deliver instructional plans that meet state standards, differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, and integrate technology to enhance learning. Collaboration with colleagues, communication with families, and ongoing professional development are essential components of this role.

Instructional Planning and Delivery:

• Develop and implement lessons plans aligned with state standards and school curriculum.
• Use a variety of teaching methods and strategies to meet diverse student’s needs.
• Integrate technology and digital resources to enhance learning. 
• Provide clear and timely feedback to students on their academic progress.

Classroom Management:

• Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among students.
• Foster a positive classroom culture that promotes respect and collaboration. 

Student Assessment and Progress Monitoring:

• Administer assessments to evaluate student understanding and mastery of content.
• Analyze data to inform instructional practices and identify areas for student improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of students’ progress and communicate regularly with student and parents.

Collaboration and Professional Development:

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and implement school-wide initiatives.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices.
• Engage in reflective practice to continuously improve teaching effectiveness.

Communication and Family Engagement:

• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress. concerns. and opportunities for growth.
• Provide resources and support to families to enhance student learning at home.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion:

• Promote an inclusive classroom environment that respects and values diversity.
• Incorporate culturally responsive teaching practices into instruction.
• Advocate for equitable access to educational opportunities for all students.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field required.
• Master's degree preferred.

Certification:

• Valid state teaching certification in the subject are or grade level being taught.

Experience:

• Prior teaching experience in a public school setting preferred.
• Experience with technology integration in the classroom.

Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools. 
• Commitment to continuous professional growth.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. 
• Ability to lift and move instructional materials and classroom equipment.

Work Environment:

• Work is primarily performed in a classroom setting.
• May involve exposures to moderate noise levels typical for a school environment.
• Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for school events or professional development.

Salary : $53,000 - $74,630
