What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Grade STEM Teacher position at Explore Academy?
Explore Academy is seeking to hire a Lower Elementary teacher with an elementary or early childhood teaching license. This position is focused on second grade. The ideal candidate for this position would be teaching two sessions of students in one specifc content area. Our lower elementary teachers teach either STEM (Mathematics and Science) or Humanitites (Language Arts and Social Studies). Each content area is delivered to students using Flavor (Thematic) approaches where standards are taught immersed in that Flavor. The ideal teaching candidate for this position would be familiar with backwards planning and standards based teaching. Hands-on approaches, creativity, and choice for both students and teachers is a must in this role. This position requires data driven instruction and decision making along with collaboration in content teams to support all students in the Lower Elementary Grade Band.
