The Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a unique retail outlet where customers can purchase new and gently used items at excellent prices. Funds from the ReStore help Habitat for Humanity build homes, communities, and hope in Brown County. The ReStore operation also helps keep millions of pounds of unwanted merchandise out of our landfills.
Position Objective:
The ReStore Donor/Sales Associate helps unload donations and load customer purchases at the ReStore loading dock. They represent the Habitat brand through courteous interactions with donors and customers to promote our mission and support ReStore operations. This person must be comfortable moving products (sometimes very heavy products). They will work with other ReStore staff to ensure donations are properly stored, processed/priced, and placed on the sales floor. The ReStore Donor/Sales associate will be called upon to help customers throughout the store. The position requires the ability to lift and move products that may be 50 lbs. or more on a regular basis in a team lift environment. This position will be trained to drive the ReStore box truck to be a back up to regular truck drivers. Only a regular driver’s license is required.
Specific Duties:
- Always provide exceptional customer service—including politely greeting all customers and donors.
- Effective communication and strong teamwork with fellow staff and volunteers.
- Assist ReStore manager in maintaining efficient operations by:
o Assisting customers and donors in loading and unloading merchandise (50%)
o Maintaining a neat, clean, and safe work area.
o Putting incoming donations from receiving dock in the proper location (20%)
o Cleaning, pricing, and moving donated items to the sales floor. (20%)
o Adhering to the ReStore’s recycling efforts.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Experience and Skills:
- Understand Habitat for Humanity mission.
- Must be professional in appearance and a good ambassador of the Habitat brand.
- Demonstrates problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work well and communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to establish, foster and maintain effective working relationships with staff, volunteers, and the public.
- Ability to arrive at work promptly and dress neatly in a Habitat for Humanity shirt (provided).
- Ability to continuously lift 50 pounds or more throughout the day.
- Must demonstrate safety awareness in vehicles and use of equipment.
- Team player able to help in warehouse and sales floor as needed.
- High School Diploma or GED (or in the process of obtaining).
- Must pass a criminal background check and sexual offender check.
Anticipated Hours
- Schedule will fall within 8am - 6:15pm Tuesday-Friday and 8am - 5:15pm Saturday
- No work on Sundays, no work after 7pm
